This was an exciting week.
There's a less-active member of the ward that lives in, well, not the most clean of
conditions. This was the third time we have left her apartment with bugs on us. The first and second times they were definitely bedbugs and we got rid of them right away. This time we're not sure if they were bedbug babies or something else. But I don't think we'll be going to visit that member anymore. (There are several other reasons besides the bedbugs.)
We have one investigator who has the potential to progress toward baptism. She and her son have been investigating about two years. For her, the only real hangup is just getting to church consistently. This week we taught them about how obedience brings blessings. I wrote D&C 82:10 on a piece of paper and told them to a) hang it on their wall where they could see it every day, and b) come to church. Sometimes I wonder if I'm overbearing. Maybe I am. But some people need it. Not everyone, but some.
We're working with several less-actives, trying to get them to come back, and also
working to get to know the Young Women better since several of the people we consistently work with are in that age group. Tonight we get to go to New Beginnings. I can't wait! This ward also really likes for us to come to Enrichment, which we gladly do. I love the ward!
And my time is up. Sorry this is another short one. Love to everyone,
Sister Monson
