And so it begins another micro-email. Are you seeing a trend here? This week it is
because they are updating the myldsmail.net system and I had to spend lots of time
jumping through cyber-hoops in order to get the updated version of myldsmail.net, which apparently is mandatory because it is SUCH an amazing system. SO amazing I can't live without it, I guess. If they had given me a choice I would have said "Give me an hour to write a real email instead!" but they didn't.
We have been getting member referrals like crazy for some reason. We went by a member's house to use their microwave, and ended up chatting with her about some of the Young Women we are working with (she's one of the advisors). Before we left she said we should go knock on her neighbor's door. Turns out this young man comes from a difficult background but has turned out amazingly well in spite of it. He still lives at home and his family is very opposed to religion. We knocked on his door; he opened right up and we were able to set up an appointment on the spot. After we left he talked to his mom, who said we couldn't have the appointment at his house because there was a game on that night (the Jets and the Colts, whoever they are). So he took the initiative to call this member we had just talked with, and asked her if he could meet with us at her house. Amazing, right? The appointment went really well. We are so excited!
I love this ward! I love the area. Transfers aren't happening in two weeks, and I'm
never leaving, and I'm never going home. And I'm not in denial. Not at all.
Love,
Sister Monson
